More like “What was the epitath on his headstone or grave plaque?”
Generally, epitaphs are put on headstones. I’m not sure what an epitaths is, although Mr Doty could be very witty and have mashed up epitaph and epithet intentionally. He has shown quite a wit at times.
Too bad there aren’t more pols who “leave well enough alone”! When Clinton was elected, I knew he would - I was just worried about the wife ;-> I can’t say much about others - like other lawyers they’re all the same. Too bad they aren’t all busy with “other” interests…

Let’s hope they don’t make statues for politicians who let bad enough alone.

epitaphs would be what a family member would want to describe a loved one. markers may not have epitaphs due to cost.

An epithet is descriptive, not necessarily derogatory.

A politician that actually knows when to let well enough alone deserves a statue!
They sure don’t know now, that’s for sure!

Let well enough alone? Not exactly the same as “laissez faire”, but I’ll vote for it.
