Or, the neighborhood boasts an unusually large number of dog owners who tie hats onto their dogs. But you can’t assume anything on Ballard Street.

Well of course the hats come out on Sunday – and this is a Sunday strip. I love the originality they all show… except for that guy in the middle, with a basic fedora. He seems interested in that yeller gal. Her hat is much more creative than his, but, hats aren’t everything.

I’m having trouble with my connection, therefore both GoComics and my image hosting site….

But I managed to upload my side by side version using my phone…

And I’m using it now to post this…

I need to straighten everything out, but first…. I’ll leave you the side by side, so you can all get busy solving.

Tigressy, my information, after speaking with the source, earlier today, is that it’s the opposite….

There are actually TWO differences that you may think are ONE…

But if you call it one you’ll only find eight

I read going to present it differently, but since you’ve already said that…

One of the evil cat’s employees seems to be staring at Cleo. I hope they don’t have some evil surprise waiting for her if she opens one of the boxes.

That said… as Tigressy and I discussed, above… and ended up e-mailing each other to untangle…

There are TWO small differences, quite close together, that you may take for ONE… I did, until Stelbel told me they were separate…

Nighthawks… that’s the spot you know about.

But what Tigressy meant was a completely different spot in the puzzle, with ONE actual difference that she saw as TWO…

I almost did, as well, when I was solving it, so some of you may also see it as two.

Ergo… the official count is NINE… but you may think you’ve found only eight… or nine, or even ten… and you still could be correct.

The number doesn’t matter as much as this:

If the animation solution animates all the differences that you’ve found… they’re all correct…

and if your solution includes everything that you see moving in the animation… you’ve found them all

That’s clear… right? Um… right?

Kinda cracked me up that 10 years ago today, a poster named sidl got up on the wrong side of bed.
