I have known people who felt that they were too adult to read the comics. I don’t see the appeal or advantage of poor mental hygiene.But who am I, to judge.This is why they have doors.
We’re all outed here, so why bother to pretend we don’t read the comics?My daily allotment is not nearly so numerous as Doctor Toon’s, but I do check four separate sources each day: GoComics; Arcamax; Comics Kingdom (via Chicago Tribune), and (excepting Sundays) Houston Chronicle. There are also a few web stand-alones that I check either daily or from time to time….
The U. S. A. is the only country I know that has such disdain for comic strips, comic books and graphic novels. Our opinions about graphic novels have changed considerably in recent years due to the fantastic sums movies based on comic book and graphic novel characters have earned. We seem to revere money above all else.
We had a hardbound Terry and the Pirates when I was very small. I poked myself in the eye with a sharp stick while attempting to pry open a shipping drum. I had to wear an eye patch for a while. They said I looked like a pirate. I said I didn’t want to be a pirate. I’m not sure, but I think that was before I almost drowned. The exact order of events is somewhat questionable. So is most of reality, but that is another story.
I’ve been gone for three days and nobody noticed!(Dog) {{{{{ sniff! }}}}}

I love the comics and I cannot lie. And I don’t care who knows it. Especially Frog Applause.
