I was blaming my basset Cleo for killing the grass and then one day I saw the yardmen spraying weedkiller.

    Good dog Cleo…you’re forgiven….

Rex and Rusty will now switch places. And so it goes, on and on.

Saturday and Sunday, as well as Weds and Friday, are reserved for Cleo poop jokes.

Claude needs to get a subscription to Martha Bassert to give Cleo something to read in the yard.

The street isn’t right, the loo isn’t, either – but the backyard is now?!?

Was Claude raised in a barn?

Ah, what a wonderful duet; watch and listen to the perfect interaction between their spurts, look at their divine leg work – and – yesyesyes! It’s gold for Rex and Rusty again!

    Hi everybody…

and sorry Dennis… glad you found us, brain Les….

I guess I was kinda playing hooky.

I always start here… and a lot of times I fall asleep, and that’s as far as it gets, so I was roaming, for a change.

But I do want to welcome everybody to comment on

the April 20th  2020 “CLEO and COMPANY” on Sherpa.

As has been noted, already… the latest take in what may be a vast arsenal of Cleo poop jokes.

Good thing we’ve recently been advised to wear masks.

Of course, Ballard Street, once again, coincidentally coordinates with “Cleo and Company.”

Rusty and Rex, making their marks, with minimal results.

I’ve seen that happen in real life, more often after the fact….

the next male dog on the route trying to cover the tracks of his predecessor .

My little female would try to do that too… she seemed to be impressed by high marks….

and would feebly lift her leg a few inches off the ground… accomplishing nothing…

then run to sniff the never-successful results of her endeavor.

Anybody else remember the Cat, on Red Dwarf, with his spray bottle?

    “Mine…” “Mine…” “Mine!”

As I recall, Cleo had yet a different way of marking her territory….

    I can’t find it…. but I believe it was red paint….

and, like today’s strip, another instance of Claude wondering aloud why she’s not like other dogs.

Maybe a “Confound it, Cleo!” thrown in for good measure.

    She’s not, Claude… she never will be…. and that’s why we’re here.

    I loved the ‘occupied’ line!

The only problem with Cleo using the back yard like other dogs, is that someone has to clean it up! Right, Claude? (Unless, of course, Clara has to do the dirty job!)
