And if you add a beagle with multiple personalities to the cast, you’ll run for another 41 years!

But do you see anybody waking up in the morning an d rushing to see the latest installment of those strips? Long live our noble Queen!

Well, I’m sure not having to actually draw the strip does help with the burnout problem.

Hey, Pab – Do you know the origin of your name? It’s the only “Pab” that I’ve ever seen.

    Wonderful strip, BTW

The good thing is that those two comics left while they were still artistically and culturally relevant. Others have gone on as more or less undead with the original artists long gone and the jokes are strange, out of context or just plain creepy.

When Lynn Johnston remarked to Charles Schulz on how long For Better or For Worse had been running, saying “I’m gaining on you,” he supposedly replied, “I’ll see you in the Louvre.”

I remember when this started on Live Journal! Or was that Facebook? Darn memory lapses!

Just 54 years and seven months more and you’ll have run as long as the Old Adventures of Queen Victoria.

Has anyone told Her Maj yet who else might break a longevity record on September 10?
