Shingles is no fun, those of you who havenât had it. I have, and it made me wonder if it was the inspiration for some descriptions of the torments of Heck (e.g., Danteâs, the Qurâanâs, a medieval picture of the Nine Tibetian Buddhist Hecks that I saw onceâŠ).
(Since I got unexpectedly bleeped, I compensated⊠just because I could.)

Llewe: Shingles is closely related to chicken pox. So much so that young kids who are not vaccinated for it shouldnât hang around you. I got cp from my Dad when he had shingles. Wear dark glasses if you go outside and watch out for too much sun period. It can aggravate it.
N7326 Foxtrot by all means, get a Shingles shot NOW!! I did after hearing all about how painful it is from my mother and sister. The doctor wasnât sure my insurance would pay for it (they did) but I was willing to pay for it just to get the protection.
N7326 Foxtrot, Iâve had it twice, once in my 20s, then again 40 years later. As Rakkav said, it is the pain from Hades. The virus travels up your nerve pathways, and then erupts on the skin as blisters.
After spending all those years in a black pit, itâs no wonder he wants some colour in his life!! (Too bad heâs stuck in a black-and-white stripâŠ)
