Never had Shingles, so sorry you have your case of it!!!!

Shingles is no fun, those of you who haven’t had it. I have, and it made me wonder if it was the inspiration for some descriptions of the torments of Heck (e.g., Dante’s, the Qur’an’s, a medieval picture of the Nine Tibetian Buddhist Hecks that I saw once…).

(Since I got unexpectedly bleeped, I compensated… just because I could.)

Llewe: Shingles is closely related to chicken pox. So much so that young kids who are not vaccinated for it shouldn’t hang around you. I got cp from my Dad when he had shingles. Wear dark glasses if you go outside and watch out for too much sun period. It can aggravate it.

I had chicken pox as a child, so shingles is something I am expecting any day now.

N7326 Foxtrot by all means, get a Shingles shot NOW!! I did after hearing all about how painful it is from my mother and sister. The doctor wasn’t sure my insurance would pay for it (they did) but I was willing to pay for it just to get the protection.
