What a great relationship those two have….
Good morning, all you Annie fans!
Leaky is away, so I have to do his job for him. Hope he gives me some of his winnings.
Caught within his crushing grip
Annie’s feels her life begin to slip
Foolish she was to sneak about
Now her future is in doubt
But papa calms sonny down
With a blow to his crown
Though his head is thick and hard
The rock proves harder in this regard
And while papa is having his say
Now would be the time to run away
But Annie seems to want to stay and talk
Maybe because papa still has the rock
Most unexpected, I figured Sandy would come sniffing around with Daddy or someone in tow.
Missed talkin’ last night but I was beat, and I’m off again today. Gettin’ too old for all this runnin’ around.
Oh well, At keast I can still run (walk actually) around.
Well I wake up in the morning,
time to face and other day.
And I get up in the morning
Knowin’ I’m gonna Pay.
Ain’t nothin’ I can do aboutt it,
You know times’ gonna have it’s way.
Oh, I thought I’d last forever,
Then I started gettin’ gray.
Thank you. I figured there would be a few out there who could. I wrote it for my birthday show in ‘02. Here’s the second verse:
When I was a young man
A long long time ago,
When I was a young man
I was always on the go,
Lookin’ for a good time,
Treatin’ life like a holiday.
Oh I thought i’d last forever,
Then I started gettin’ grey.

Know the feeling, Floyd. I’m nearing 76 and live on the east coast so I don’t get the new comics until 1:15 am. Sometimes I have a hard time staying up until then.
Hey Doubloon, we thought we had lost you! Welcome back, our day is just not the same without you.
Marg, it’s in Arkansas. It’s a very beautiful place, a green canyon with a waterfall and hiking trails and great history. But we’re not there now, we just drove up to Mountain View, home of great ol’ mountain music. The WIFI here in our motel is as slow as Christmas Molasses.
Great lyrics Floyd.
Thank you margueritem and davidf42.
Well doubloon has come back today
Insipid blather is all he has to say
Lashing out and snapping at any fun he sees
Trying to stem the hurt that brings him to his knees
Pathetic little child who is bereft of any friend
Crying from the torment that never seems to end
Doomed he is to a life filled with fear and hate
If he doesn’t take the steps to alter his tragic fate
So hate him not nor curse him in his plight
He is to be pitied as he rails against the night.

Good morning everybody. I’m on vacation. Anyone ever been to Petit Jean State Park?
Great artwork today!
G’Mawnin’ Marg - So that’s why Leaky hasn’t told anyone my deep dark secret.
Lonewolf - Ha! Anybody would have a good right hook with a brick in his hand.
DKram - I’m surprised he didn’t just shrug it off.
WW - Another good one, as usual.

Geriatric? Now I get it!
Sock puppets pretending to be a bunch of old women.
“Good morning, blah-blah-blah.”
“Hi, blah-blah, how’s blah-blah-blah.”
“How’s the knitting going, blah-blah-blah.”

No objections from me. I’m enjoying it.
