Seemingly unafraid, Cassie gives the ump her very best “Talk to the hand” act as she gets ready to dig in at the plate. Game winning hit, mild approval from Molly and the girls, but she’s still branded with the scarlet letter Q , for “quitter.”
Mimi is losing discipline. In p2, she also lost some equipment as Number 1 slams her helmet to the ground. In p3 does anyone else think the ump is Steve and Cassie is giving him a wave?
I agree HooDad, the chain link fence looks nice compared to the usual Hockey type glass protection we have been looking at.
Cassie does bunt down the line. Milford wins. She is now the hero and everyone forgets about the basketball season. She then leads the team to the playoffs and actually shows up this time as she leaves Steve ( grounds keeper boy ) at the alter after learning from her mistake / close call with pizza boy. This of course then causes Steve to re-evaluate his lifes choices ( a short chat with the Gil father )and he then enrolls back in college where he earns a degree, dates women his own age and then comes back to Milford to be an assistant coach for Gil.
The umpire is Mr. Kessler and you know how he feels about Cassie, that’s why his hand is wandering. Cassie hits a high drive to right. As the right fielder settles under the ball, Steve in the stands flashes his laser light at her eyes causing her to lose sight of the ball and Cassie ends up with a triple scoring both runners. Hero again…

Motorcitymaxx: At least this backstop is made out of chain link, unlike the glass panels we saw previously.
Grshprnh: The ump appears to be playing with himself. By the way, Vanna Whte wants to know if you’d like to buy a vowel for your user name.

My prediction - Cassie will get a hit and win the game, but her teammates will still snub her.

No one ever strikes out with Cassie. They will at least get to third base.
