Teachers now go on line to check a few lines here and there to see if it was a copy and paste from such sites. I find them prowling the Q&A looking for the subject they gave to their students. Some of the students don’t even bother with a please, they just dump the whole thing on the Q part of the site and wait for the answers or for someone to write the essay. Being French, it is my great pleasure to do translations from English to French, in my best high brow French…. with a few added sentences in the middle of it, where the student isn’t likely to look at it :“this is of course cheating as this isn’t written by whoever handed you that paper” “you realise of course that your student hasn’t reached that level of French” etc…
The difference between the info from Wiki and other similar sites and actually curling up in a comfy chair and reading the book…. finding that one piece of info while reading that gives you that spark. An idea on how to approach a report or full blown exposition. Something no one else will have ever guessed would work or sell or get you that A+ because you just blew the socks off and mind bashed your teacher..

What was the series, if I may ask? I’m always looking for the next series to read.

Poor kids today, actually being forced to read a book. Tsk Tsk, bad educators! Bad, bad!
