Educational and innocent. Any compalints?
Perhaps it’s called a preying mantis because it preys on other insects (as well as their poor male mates).
The last time we had a Boog story was during the Dick Tracy/Annie crossover and Jim always drew Annie in the background. We haven’t seen Annie in the background yet in this story.
True: the females are bigger than the males. One that large is likely to be a “she”. BTW: be careful saying “praying” in a public school, Boog ;-)
I would have expected “The Deadly Mantis” to star Grass Hopper!
William Hopper = Paul Drake on Perry Mason. He was the son of famous gossip columnist Hedda Hopper.
And then, a Praying Mantis is able to hop as well. What a coincidence.
