Adam: I'm back. Katy: How was the pizza delivery ride-along? Adam: I got some great stuff for my blog piece, but it got a little scary at one point. Katy: Scary how? Adam: A car pulled in front of us and Zeke had to slam on the breaks to avoid a crash. Katy: Wow. Did your life pass before your eyes? Adam: Yeah. Along with three large pizzas and a calzone.

Just FYI, Panera Breads has a Dough-nation program, and every night they bag up their unsold bread and sweets, and donate them to a local food pantry or soup kitchen. You might ask about a similar arrangement at work. It has to be a “legitimate” charity, but most places are more than willing to do this.

@KatzenbooksA woman wearing boxes for shoes, standing outside a Chipotle, said, “Can you buy me something to eat?” I went in and ordered. When I walked out the door, I said, “Do you still want something to eat?” and reached into my bag and held out a foil-wrapped burrito. She said, “Not that!” She should have been standing outside a Ruth’s Chris.

It’s hard to think of life whilst pizzas are wrapping around your head.
