If he just HAPPENS to be there, and derives pleasure from watching, what’s the harm?

I’m thinking this kid would rather watch the accidents, if he had to choose. I’m also thinking Frazz would ride his bike on a terrible day just so he could boast about it.

I wouldn’t go so far as to ascribe “pleasure” from watching people slip and fall; I’d go with “entertainment”

Goes back to the old truism that “One Horse can run faster than another.” We’ve just replaced the Horses with Cars, but the adrenaline-inducing uncertainty remains.
