I really like Carmen’s point in the last panel. But can we please get over this “the old are technologically unclued” thing? One, how old exactly do you think the people ARE now who got the first PCs, not to mention did the first programming? I’m in my mid-60s and have been working with computers since DOS. Second, just because we are not hopelessly distracted SQUIRREL by every new tech toy does not mean we CAN’T understand. Means we’ve moved on from the toy stage and have lives that are not subsumed by technoSQUIRRELS. Sheesh!!
Only going back to the phonograph? My grandmother told us of life before the first telephone… long before the phonograph. My great grandad, still alive and active when I was at college, went west with a covered wagon.
