I’m sorry, but to me this reinforces the stereotype that women are so desperate for marriage that they will…they will…(how can I say this?)… get stupid.
In related weather news, Hell, having frozen over when BroomHilda got a date (with a mafioso no less) earlier this year, is out of the Ice Age and is now experiencing a runaway greenhouse effect.
Well, JackButler, it’s a fair question. Let me count the ways…
1) Roger’s facial expressions give me the absolute creeps. It’s not that he’s drawn badly, he IS bad.
2) How is he bad? He’s self-centered, vain, rather insensitive, rather manipulative, and more interested in his business (at least until recently) than in Brandy.
I’m willing to give him the benefit of the doubt as a possible Jungian ESTP/Doer, however. He has that overall paradigm of thought. Such a one would capture the wonder of an apparent INFP/Idealist like Brandy despite herself.
(No, I don’t think this strip reinforces any stereotypes. This is how one would likely expect an INFP to react under pressure. It’s not a matter of desperation, but of being a hopeless romantic who doesn’t really know her own mind about anything unless her private values are crossed.)
On the plus side, Roger’s realized what a treasure Brandy really is and has begun to set his priorities in order accordingly.
[EDIT: I changed my inference about Brandy’s type because an ENFP would hardly be shy about her feelings toward Frank or in doubt about her feelings toward Roger. But INFP is a closely related type and is easy to confuse with ENFP.]
Yes, you have it. I like to amuse myself with trying to infer the Jungian/Myers-Briggs types of various cartoon characters. Hopefully some of you find it amusing and/or helpful too.
I’d recommend The Personality Page, as earlier, but it continues to have server problems and it just takes too long to reset the code here from scratch as I was forced to do above…

That’s just a nicer way of saying what I said.
Loved you comment yesterday about ‘anger squared’. Did you make that up?
