Phoebe and Her Unicorn by Dana Simpson for March 13, 2015
Transcript:
Teacher: Young lady, I've heard some disturbing stories about you. Phoebe: Have you been talking to my unicorn? Don't listen to her. My finger quotes annoy her for some reason, is all. Teacher: You took a ball from another child. Phoebe: ...I agree that sounds worse.

I continue to marvel at the power of the SHIELD OF BORINGNESS. Normally a unicorn would deflect attention away from a ball.

I think this teacher has a clone over in Ozy & Millie-I refer to the incident with Jeremy and the mud puddle.

Actually, I think the best response here would be to emulate Slappy & Skippy’s response in “Bully for Skippy” from Animaniacs Volume 4, disc 3.

And so the lie begins. No matter what Phoebe says it is just defense. I say let Phoebe learn how to throw the ball dodgeball sryle. The girl wants the ball back, she gets it back.HARD!

Am I the only one finding the size of today’s strip uncomfortably large? I reduced my screen size to 75% but it was still pretty big.

This teacher (perhaps hearing only one-sided accusations) had no inkling about Marigold, Phoebe jumped the gun and, hence, made her position worse. Parent-teacher conference!

Always find out what you’re accused of before you try to defend yourself.

Why on earth would the teacher be talking about the finger quotes?
