Loon needs to have his eyes Checked, after he gets away from the Shark. That Shark should have looked way bigger in the water, due to the refraction of the light entering the water. O’yeah it’s Comicland Physics at work!
Don’t know that this is on point, but as to real life and comics, I found a dead roadrunner in the road near my house yesterday. Not sure whether a coyote or a car got him/her, though. I guess they’re not as fast as they think they are.

Roadrunners run 15 mph. Coyotes 45 mph . Roadrunners stay alive by their quick reflexes and manovarability .
