No one has ever said anything, but Max is on his second pair of glasses since the strip started.

As far as I know, I’ve been through three pairs of eye glasses: fifth grade, after high school, and then some few years after that. Reasons: didn’t wear them that much, I think broke, and new prescription.

I have three different pairs with my current prescription, four if you count sunglasses! I just like glasses. And you can get them cheap on the internet these days.

    Ha ha…NO.

I had Lasik and while the results are quite pleasing, the procedure and recovery were a freaking nightmare I would not wish upon anyone but my worst enemies. (Ha ha! That was over a decade ago, and my heart’s pounding just thinking about it!)

Not bad Phoebe. Max’s eyes look short when his glasses came off.

I get by with plain old reading glasses (only need them for close up things), but I buy them like some people buy cheap pens. (and these are only about $4 a pair so they are like cheap pens in a very literal sense)

Or is being bullied by someone. (The real reason is, I just started wanting to draw them differently.)

I had to go way back to find a strip with Max’s old spectacles (searching randomly), but here’s one:.http://www.gocomics.com/phoebe-and-her-unicorn/2012/12/01

Hi Dana! I wanted to tell you that I loved today’s Ozy and Millie! I’m going to print it out and paste it somewhere in my office. :)

Why is it that in comics, when bespectacled people remove their glasses, their eyes are always tiny dots? Is it a mutation, perhaps?
