Wasn’t on either “Futurama” or “Pinky and the Brain” where something was (partially) scribbled on the moon? I know Calvin of “Calvin and Hobbes” wrote “Calvin is great” by means of driving his (imaginary) moon rover.

Last year I read an article about how Coca-Cola was looking into using lasers to project its logo onto the moon. There was so much public backlash that they abandoned the idea.
