Um, I think the drawing of the bear would be better off going in the woods. The standing caveman has a sideways face on his garment. The smoke puffs under the horse drawing look like a surprised face.

And now we know why dragons went extinct (justifiable dracocide).

I am offended by the lack of historical accuracy. Knights came into being long after the cavemen. Hand print on wall.

I like the dragon, he’s cute.

Good Morning Supreme Leader of the Birdbrains Good Morning Fellow Birdbrains & Mundanes

This is kinda stupid, because of the Knights being maybe 20 to 60 thousand years in the FUTURE of cavemen. Its dumb, to me unfunny. Joke would work with differient group people, say like Princess the dragon kidnapped.

When Spenser wrote The Faire Queene, he never mentioned cave drawings.

Face on the bears hand. I found it after six hours of staring at THOM’s daily masterpiece.

My sixth shrink in three months thinks ECT will work on me. I find that shocking.

    Who is caroL?

The face most obvious to me seems to remain unseen by others. The smoke and fumes coming off the foregroundiest good knight in charred animal skin.

Lorac/Carol…do we have ourselves another tribute here, or is this a bizarre coincidence?

But it’s still in the tin cans…

I guess the evil knights got a break.

I’m offended that Thom is discriminating against villains.

Wow, what a bunch of great readers! I try to slip secret messages into these things and you guys STILL find them!! You guessed it - the name is Carol. It’s a tribute to my big sister.

About the knights of old… there’s nothing in the cartoon that makes these cavement - Neanderthals or Cro Magnon or even earlier versions. I figured they’d be peasants living in a cave in France. Now, it’s up to you all to figure out which cave… (Hint: It’s famous for the cave paintings). Oh, and just for historical accuracy, fire-breathing dragons never actually existed… I don’t think.

Thank you all for reading this toasted cartoon!!

And special thanks to Lew for the kind word.

    Thom

Thom Thom- I am shocked that you don’t think fire breathing dragons don’t exist! Why would anyone write a whole song about Puff the Magic Dragon unless he didn’t really live?

Oh, there’s rumors that he wasn’t really magic. It was done with smoke and mirrors.

    Mostly smoke.

Strange coincidence: Today is my mother’s birthday and her name is Carol. (cue strange music)

    Lascaux Caves?

I apologize Supreme Leader of the Birdbrains, once the clothes were charred they looked like cave men to me. I hope I didn’t cause any offense. ~ LuvH8
