I learned a lot of mythology from Uncle Scrooge comics ā€“ Jason and the Argonauts, the 7 cities of Cibola, the Flying Dutchman, etc.

Yes, Disney always steals from the best.

    (See ā€˜Kimba, the White Lionā€™ the REAL ā€˜Lion Kingā€™!)

Meep meep. I always found the coyote vastly more interesting than the roadrunner who never lost. The coyote lost, but always got up and tried again.

Seems like ACME is the LAST place to buy anything if you want it to work as expected.

When I was a kid, there was a supermarket chain where I lived called Acme, but they never sold any of those wonderful devices!

ACME: Is it the device, or the user, at fault? I vote both.

Get in your way-back machine. I learned to spell ā€œencyclopediaā€ on the Mickey Mouse show. Remember Jimminy Cricket?

thereā€™s still a few acmeā€™s left i think.disappearing along with the genuardiā€™s etc. a radio program once had callers voting on who they liked better, the road runner or the coyote. the road runner was winning which i donā€™t understand. iā€™m so glad that these two are being exposed to the classics.

I wish they showed old WB cartoons today. Or at least easily. Most kids had never seen them and it makes my heart bleed with shrapnel tears.

Iā€™m reminded of a serial that ran in National Lampoon where Wile E. Coyote sued ACME for fraud (among other things). Being wily (I guess), he was secretly buying up seriously depressed ACME stock all the time the trial went on; so that when it finally ended, he owned the company.
