E-books? This guy is still so far in the Paper Age that he has fossil stratigraphy. Look at his desk!

The desk actually reminds me of a PhD’s office I saw years ago. There was a small path from the door to the one chair in front of the desk. Every other surface was covered with towers of paper that threatened to topple over with the slightest earth movement. How he ever found anything I’ll never know.

Dean Koontz long ago said the really great writers he’s known have kept very clean desks. Might explain why all of us are writing here and he’s writing on the best-seller list.

That’s a true friend. Making sure he has entertainment in the face of disaster.
