Coming Soon đ At the beginning of April, youâll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
Joe, go watch the movie again. Old Yeller was shot because he DID have rabies. They isolated him until he showed symptoms of âthe hydrophobieâ. Travis (Tommy Kirk) shot the dog as he started to attack Arliss (Kevin Corcoran).
DevonshadeâŠI am at a loss to even understand why you follow this strip. All you ever do is complain. Perhaps you would do better with a more intellectual strip that suits you, like Nancy, Ziggy of Family Circle.
Generally, gals sympathize, guys want to fix. Some just want to spout, some want sympathy, and some get a lot of good from the group therapy, like CB radio in the old days.
I consider gocomis not a thearpy group, but suppose to be a funny group. There is another strip on Gocomics thatâs almost realistic to me and itâs suppose to be funny.
Mean time I wish every a safe Memorial Day weekend as we remember what the day really means to the ones who lost their lives for our freedom.
JanCinVV explicitly mentioned the movie âOld Yellerâ (not the book), and the dog certainly did show signs of being infected with rabies in the movie.
The person who initially brought up the subject of rabies did not specify whether it was in the movie or the book. To qualify your original statement afterward does not make JanCinVV wrong in what he said.

Iâm sure Gweedo is correct, in the sense that someone who was old and yelled was shot. It has probably happened countless times, in fact.

You are correct JanCinVV!
Old Yeller was foaming at the mouth and snarling when he was shot. (Minor detail?)

Is this the end of a story arc or the beginning with a new recurring character? Stay tuned.

Wasnât his name actually âYellerâ, the âoldâ being an adjective?
axe-grinder almost 15 years ago
I still agree with Gweedo.
jpozenel almost 15 years ago
JanCinVV is still correct!
