No one wants to see you in Concussion City, Bill. That’s why you wear a helemt when playing football, riding a bike, at a construction site, anywhere that requires a helmet.
Bill was never one of the smart ones.
Wasn’t he re-taking some course or other for the Nth time last year?
Anyway, he had enough sense to get himself into Delores’ remedial class, and I got the impression it was intentional. Nobody would suspect that plot with Bill - they’d just expect him to be in that class.
these are repeats - you can find “today’s” strip on this website at 23 sept 2007 (you can use the little “calendar” icon at the top…) - you could run through the entire history of Barkeater lake from the beginning, if you want (it took a few weeks, but I did it - lots of fun)
@JAD - is that what that thing that looks like a towel on the back of his neck is for? Thanks - I didn’t know that - sort of like the head-restraint on a car seat?
bmonk - I’d be surprised if his friend didn’t already know what R-U-L-E spells.
zev - it’s convenient to know how to find exactly what in the archive. Thanks.
I’m wondering:
If BL strips stop appearing on GoComics, as they have in the past couple of days, will they reappear on BarkeaterLake.com ? That would make the archive even more convenient.
rac0308 - how paying $10/year makes me a “genius” is beyond me… I think the word they were looking for was “sucker”…
I think they recently (few months ago?) changed the rules around here, allowing ordinary folks (those smart enough not to blow ten bucks to be able to read the comics…) to access the full archive.
I just logged out and went to that 23 sept 2007 strip. gocomics let me see the strip, but wouldn’t let me comment. please try it and let me know if it works (I think the “genius” badge just lets you comment on comics older than two weeks, which isn’t all that much of a privilege, considering that even two-day-old comics don’t get much traffic…).
Which leaves me wondering… why am I still paying the ten bucks?

Our state has no motorcycle helmet law. We used to have no bike insurance law. Lawyers had a field day.

by the way he shows he knows what r-u-l-e spells i think he’s been playing without a helmut for a while.

Many years ago, a friend who raced cars for a hobby showed me his helmet, and I was surprised to hear that it cost $200.
He said the price of the helmet should be proportional to the value of the head.

“Football Player” + “Thinking” = either an oxymoron or a dangerous combination.

@Avon, what frightens me is that he’s explaining the matter to player number 2…which may indicate Bill is the smart one here.

Zev thanks but note there’s no “genius” next to my name. I can only go back 2 weeks.

well, yeah, it’s a repeat…
what part of “From the Beginning” did you not understand???
Plods with ...™ over 14 years ago
Maybe “from” etsisk ?
‘k Mr Pandolph- you don’t have to release updates anymore, I just finished reading it all. Too bad, I really enjoyed this strip.
If you have it all in a book, that would be something I would consider, tho.
Hopefully you won’t get bored with Toby anytime soon.

rac, There are indeed books - two so far, and one in production. Check out the Fake Rockstar website for more about Corey’s stuff.
