Warn the islanders.

C’mon, Earl. Hawaii is nicknamed the Aloha State; “aloha” can also mean “love” (not just a salutational greeting and bidding of farewell)!

This could be fun! A change of scenery for the Pickles. Earl with an umbrella drink.

Earl, whatever you do, don’t go waterskiing. or you might, jump the shark!

It’s a process.

You can force someone to do something he doesn’t want to do, but you can’t make him happy about it.

I don’t think sweater vests are allowed in Hawaii so no wonder Earl is grumpy.

I’d be excited about that.

Personally, I would prefer a short stay in Vegas. It would be waaaay cheaper even if I lost every dollar of my allotted gambling stake(which is usually the case).

I can understand Opal’s viewpoint (same as mine). You want to do something exciting and different, and you want to share it with the one you love most. Even if he is blatantly disinterested.

I lived there years ago… Great place to visit… not to live.

You may not be able to Make someone do something, but you can Occasionally make them Wish they had done it!

Go by yourself if you need to Opal. That is better than traveling with a slug.

My cousin has lived on Maui for 23 yrs. She loves it. Of course, she can afford it. Her home is right on the water and is beautiful.

My dad too my mom to Hawaii for their anniversary one year. They enjoyed themselves. Who knows, maybe Earl will change his tune once they get there.
