My son said he was going to help grandpa (my dad) with some yard work and that grandpa was going to pay him. I said, if he says he will pay you twice as much as he paid me as a kid- your screwed!

Didn’t get an allowance, if I wanted money had to mow neighbor’s yards in summer and clean snow off walk in winter, and rake leaves in the fall.

I found that out early in life. It kind of made me not want to discuss money with anyone.
