Aww, sweet Rover doesn’t want to disturb his best friend Red. Funny in our house if Andy dog is sleeping on our lap we won’t disturb him. We ask the dog-less person to get us Kleenex or a can of soda pop.
This is why God made Brian Basset a cartoonist, so that he could touch every person in the worlds heart with this beloved strip. This strip should win every comic award out there.Thank you so much Mr. Basset for bringing so much enjoyment to all of us.
In my house, the dog, Buddha, (named for his big belly as a puppy) seems to not care, perhaps even enjoys his flatulence. Especially when he is like Rover in the picture or his anatomy is in a similar position. It’s rough to take, but we still love him.

Rosanne,
We do the same in our house! (Except our lap huggers are our two Kitties, Tonya and Tucker.)

Do you think that Red will notice that Rover is now facing the opposite direction?

Oh, how adorable! Rover was so gentle, he didn’t even wake Red. At this moment, I don’t need my eye drops ;)
