It’s all in the timing.

She must not have wanted it that badly, or else she could have done it herself (or paid for it). Anyway, she doesn’t seem angry – just surprised.

Clothes sun- and wind-dried on a clothesline just smell better. And sleeping on sheets dried outside – Ahhhh!

And 20 years ago they bought a clothes dryer.

My ex accused me of being deaf….I told her to get my attention before talking….one night, she had a friend over…she was in the living room, and I was in the back of the house….she told her friend I was deaf….I yelled “I am not!!!”….her friend got a good laugh…the Mrs. did not!!!

The way Janis frequently becomes exasperated with Arlo makes one wonder if her question in the first panel should be “What are you doing on earth?”

Boy, wish I had one at this house! They save money, energy, and the clothes smell wonderful.
