It’s a no win scenario.

When Snoopy starts getting violent, you give him what he wants.

You can tell this is a 60s strip. By the mid-70s most young women were joining the workplace and the home cooked breakfast was becoming a thing of the past. Can’t remember when Mickey D’s started offering breakfast menus, but certainly by the end of the 70s.

You can also tell it’s from the 60s because Lucy says “sleep LATE” rather than “sleep IN” the way all the morons say it today.

My father had to get up before 6:00 in the morning. He always made his own breakfast so my mom could wake up a little later. It was fun when I worked with him; it’d be just he and I…breakfasting together.

Lucy just brings out the beast in Schroeder.

That was a loud reaction, Snoopy!

Today such a request would be met like Snoopy or uncontrollable laughter.

I once told my husband: “I don’t know any women who cook their husband’s breakfast!” he replied: “So?” I laughed and have been cooking it most mornings for 59 years!
