Think I may have to look back at a few previous Staci strips, think she may have visited a plastic surgeon.

It’s not the real Pastis’s personal story. And sadly I actually had to look that up to find out if it’s a case of art imitating life. Found a number of news articles online which came out after these Staci strips started running that reveal the real Stephan and Staci are a lot more happily married than their comic strip avatars. One even mentioned that Staci got a phone call from a realtor friend of theirs who should have known better and actually believed what was happening in the comics was for real.

Living in a basket on the porch is a fitting pun-ishment for his crimes.

Are bad puns grounds for divorce?

Staci and Hunk have no lips.

Staci can’t get rid of Cartoon-Boy just by divorce! He’s persistent! Kind of like bird-poo.Maybe the hunky guy can sweep her porch for her….

(And, BTW, just to reiterate: Cartoon-Boy’s marital troubles DO NOT have any basis in Mr. Pastis’s Real Life happy marriage.)

I do hope this is a joke – otherwise it’s the weirdest stalking I’ve seen … and he’ll get cramp.

Glad it’s not true to life. Conflict has a way of making things more interesting/entertaining.

Actually, they were offering the real Staci help in finding a new home following the divorce. They hadn’t even asked her if the strips were just Pastis being Pastis or if they were mirroring an actual divorce, they just assumed they were mirroring an actual divorce. Apparently Staci had to tell them that they weren’t getting divorced in real life, just in the ciomics.

Anyone else miss the crocs and their Zeeba Zeeba Eeta shenanigans?
