Truth is, such a metabolism is just as big a problem. You miss a breakfast, you noticeably lose weight and people want to know if you are ill. You don’t have a snack in the car, you get light headed. And of course, people who are too polite to bring up weight with ‘normal’ people have no problem saying you are too thin, why don’t you eat something?

And also, your loved one believes you must look down on her for her daily struggle to be ‘healthy’ and you just can’t convince her that you admire her for will power that you don’t have because you never had to exercise it.

And your new neighbors like you less and less…

I had a problem like that until I was about 35. I weighed about 118. I had to eat until I was stuffed just to keep from losing weight; if I skipped a meal I could lose five pounds. Now my metabolism has flip-flopped, I weigh about 200, and I can’t seem to lose weight. I spent most of my life training myself to eat as much as I could, so suddenly having to change that is very hard.

Good thing Adam hasn’t read the newest research on microbiome transfers. Specifically how fecal transplants from thin mice to fat ones caused the recipients to lose weight. The way he carries out unusual schemes, we could get a week’s worth of very awkward strips!

As I get older and older, I don’t eat as much, but I just can’t loose the weight. For the last year I’ve eaten VERY healthy meals with lots of veggies, but I’m at a plateau of 19 pounds lost, and it’s very frustrating! But, I’ll just keep on keeping on………the tide should turn soon!

Sigh, I had a bro like that. Doc prescribed two or three milkshakes a day and other such stuff just to maintain his skinny underweight body while I who love ‘shakes’… Well, Adam’s got nothing on mw.
