In 1518, and Strasbourg, France, nearly 400 people danced themselves to death, dancing nonstop for over a month for no apparent reason. Here lies Corey Taylor In 2007, Chicago's Corey Taylor faked his own death to try to get out of his cell phone contract. The surface area of human lungs is equal to half a tennis court!

Could I have this dance, for the rest of my life? Hmm. Facts are stranger than fiction sometime.

I always thought it better to be dead than have a contract with(shudders) Verizon! Those villagers may have all contracted some kind of neurological disorder, most likely ingested through food. For those who are unprepared for the experience, ergotamines and their derivatives can be bewildering and frightening. Un-purified of toxins these can have deadly and permanent effects on the poor victims. These people lived in very toxic times, little was known of chemistry, sanitation, and common sense.I would also also not be surprised this may have been caused by lead exposure or a possible parasitic infection. It may have been a combination of several things.

Someone should have told Corey that breaking a cell-phone contract costs less than a funeral.

The story about the dancing to death seems hard to believe, what is the source of the story?
Albertaguy over 9 years ago
Thank you, the Ripley’s story does seem to have some basis, but their short headline is misleading.
