True. No one obeys the speed limit. When I do, I either get passed and left behind, or end up with irritated drivers lined up behind me. When you add excessive speed to driver distraction, like texting, you have a recipe for disaster.

Someone was following me for a fair distance last night, about 9:07, with no headlights on. That should look suspicious to cops; such a vehicle shouldn’t be driven too far, or the driver may find no other vehicles’ headlamps giving him sufficient light on his surroundings. I was glad to see the vehicle, which turned out to be a SUV, turn left on one road after I turned right.
I’ve read that people have actually been stopped for “being too careful” and driving the speed limit — because it looks like they are trying to avoid being arrested. You can’t win.

I’ve read that people have actually been stopped for “being too careful” and driving the speed limit — because it looks like they are trying to avoid being arrested. You can’t win.
