Thank you all for your kind words. My thanks go to those who gave all for all of us. And thank you to all of you who recognize the importance and gravity of their many sacrifices from the Revolutionary War to our current conflicts.
Thank you to all our veterans and their families for giving so much for the rest of us, for freedom and in defense of our Constitution.
@The BlueTHOM, my Mother served as a LT. in the Army Nurses Corp. during WW2. She took care of the Nurses coming back from Bataan and Corregidor. Two of them were good friend of hers. Every time she would try to tell me about it, she broke out in tears. The things the Nurses went through was heartbreaking! My Mom went on to serve as a Registered Nurse at our local Hospital for 40 years after she discharged from the Army, with HONORS. During her time in the Service she met and nursed many famous people and WAR Heroes along the way, Black Jack Pershing, Jimmy Doolittle, Eleanor Roosevelt, General Pershing, etc. She, among riding the Hospital Trains, also worked at Walter Reed Army Hospital. And my husband served in the 82nd Airborne at Fort Bragg, not as illustrious as my Mom’s history but he volunteered during VietNam, not knowing what the outcome might be.___________________________Thank you for your mother and husband’s contribution to preserving peace.thank you Thom, for remembering.
A heartfelt thanks to those who have fallen, those who still serve, those who have served and to all of their families for the sacrifices they have made.
