Post mortem: the bug got stepped on, the cat was hit by a car late one night, the snake took over the long-running role in B.C., the dog was always just a cardboard cut-out, Osgood and Ernestine are still looking for a gig, and Eugene is an agent, currently getting 10% for each wart the toad sells as souvenirs.
