Personally, counting sheep always seemed more likely to induce insomnia than sleep.

They should bring back Sweet Fanny — she might wear Pig out, but she’d never let him sleep.

Counting sheep has been proven not to work.

Why did Pig even bother hosting a party for sheep? Because he’s too dumb!

You can always count on sheep to pull the wool over your eyes.

Had an uncle that raised sheep. He didn’t know how many he had because every time he tried to count them, he fell asleep.

But what about the mail-in census forms, can’t the sheep fill those in themselves? Or are they also unable to make themselves count?

As long as you keep their martinis flowing pig, you won’t have to worry about place settings.

Counting sheep doesn’t work for me. After a bit I start coming up with strangely colored sheep.

    The 60’s were fun!

Didn’t Pig serve lamb a few weeks ago?“I’m hoping it died of old age.”Maybe he’s made friends with them as atonement.

The other day I had anesthesia for a procedure. Before going under, I passed the time by reciting the counties in alphabetical order for the few states I can remember out of those I learned. I kept reciting, reciting, getting lost, starting over, reciting . . . Someone came in and said, “Well, it’s all over.” I hadn’t been aware of any break in naming the counties.

A farmer once had a sheepdog that could count sheep. He asked it how many were in the lower pasture, and the dog said “50”.

“50?” said the farmer, “but I’ve only got 48 sheep altogether!”

“I know. I rounded them up.”

Dreamed I had to eat a giant marshmallow. When I woke up in the morning, my pillow was gone. Ba-da-ding, thanks to the Marx Brothers.

Counting sheep never worked for me.

It just made me bored out of my skull.

Cute strip all the same though.

I had to learn a little of that in 4th grade and again in 8th. Used to post on a forum concerning books we’d read and you could tell who the kids were just by looking at complaints about not being able to read the chapter number as it was in Roman numerals. Kinda ridiculous when you have to explain to somebody that Chapter XV and Chapter 15 are the same thing.
