Now shred the rest of the papers on the desk and we might see what it looks like.

Shredding the papers on the desk will change the balance of the Universe, and just might cause it to collapse. (That is both desk and Universe.)

Sounds exactly like something I would do …or had…or will end up doing.

Oh ya, but how many things out there do you want to shred accidentally, on purpose.

Is that the same as not being able to print the printer instructions?

Speaking of irony, I once got a Windows error message when I booted up without the keyboard connected:

Keyboard error or no keyboard present Press F1 to continue, DEL to enter SETUP

ladyfingers: That depends on how small you tear the pieces. There are actually computer programs to take a scan of torn up sheets of paper and reassemble the text. Of course they work with shredded docs too, but again, the smaller the pieces, the harder it is to reassemble it.

Security note: It helps a lot to mix up your shreds with lots of others and dispose in small batches at different times or places.

Another good method is to mix the shreds into your dog’s food.

I put my shreddings at the bottom of my kitchen trash, so no one would want to reconstruct it.
