    I have a front porch motion light that sometimes does that, even with the correct distance & sensitivity settings.

    I bought an LED outdoor flood light that turns on when the sun goes down. Best light I’ve ever had.

    Motion lights are great if your exit door from the house is in line with the light mechanism.

    The motion light above our garage door will sometimes work if a bug has the ague around it. Otherwise, nuhn-unh. When you turn a light switch inside the garage off, then back on, the light will come on if the moon is in the seventh house, and Jupiter aligns with Mars . . .
