The way I’ve heard this joke. it usually goes like this::“If you fall down and break both your legs, don’t come running to me!”That way, it’s funny.-———This way (rabies?) --not so much.

Urban squirrels: you’ve got to teach them to be afraid of people, they’ve forgotten how. Chase one once and all of them learn that you’re a potential predator.

Today I read somewhere that squirrels are highly resistant to rabies. If I had known I needed that factoid, I would have paid attention to the source.

Linguist: It was a rabbit, tired of swimming, but the paranoid Secret Service thought it was rabid, or a robot bomb, or something, and overreacted as usual. The Republicans, with the usual assistance of the corporate media, fooled a lot of people. Have The People learned better since, and how does this pertain to gay marriage, traitor’s flags, trade treaties and permanent war?

Linguist: Chuck Jones was an opera fan, remember his Barber of Seville? I can destroy and earworm with the approaching war motif from Shostakovitch’s Leningrad symphony. Then the problem is to get rid of that earworm.
