I’ve seen this kind of cartoon before: showing people engaged in normal activity, but with “naughty shadows.”
Was it Mad Magazine or Playboy that used to do them? I get those two publications mixed up.

A co-worker once told a friend of mine that he had a 5 o’clock shadow, he rubbed his chin and said, “No, this is a Monday shadow.” As it turns out his whiskers were so fine and sparse that he could go days without shaving and no one would notice.
