A bucket-head’s worst fear.

Yeah, walking around with shorts is OK as long as you wear a hat.(Does he think that ticks fly? What kind of “ranger” is he?)

He’s Ranger Dan! —Not to be confused with Lieutenant Dan.We’re more likely to meet ticks than to see fish-slapping bears, but one never knows.(P.S. I like the way Miss Bliss is helping the strange new girl get comfortable with Camp Blisshaven by holding her hand. Bravo, Miss Bliss!)

Maybe they’ll see some fish slapping ticks.

To really confuse the ticks (and redbugs, if you’re in places like Florida), put sulfur powder in your socks.BTW, New Girl looks a lot like my youngest grandchild. I’m sure the New Girl is not nearly as loud, however.

You DO realize that the ticks are in the grass, don’t you? All of the people are walking through tall grass bare-legged – it isn’t their /heads/ that are going to end up covered in bloodsuckers.

I suspect that Ranger Dan and Ernesto are related (or at least shop at the same eyeglass store)

I hope Miss Bliss remembered to bring along some tweezers.

How to remove a tick

1.Use fine-tipped tweezers to grasp the tick as close to the skin’s surface as possible.2.Pull upward with steady, even pressure. … 3.After removing the tick, thoroughly clean the bite area and your hands with rubbing alcohol, an iodine scrub, or soap and water.

Um, a hat is not going to protect against ticks.

I still think bear-slapping fish would be way more entertaining.

Alice is the last strip I read and, I have to say, I look forward to it eagerly. But the look on Alice’s face, today, with her arms in the air exclaiming that wonderful line takes the cake. It would make a great t-shirt. Thanks.
