It’s only the comics published in newspapers that have to be submitted weeks in advance,
The syndicated “features” pages are laid out and printed ahead of time….
leaving only the breaking news to be added at the last minute.

@J Short: not trying to make a political statement, just wondering why you referenced 2012 statistics when Nabuquduriuzhur appeared to be talking about stats from 1973-1997. Apples and oranges.
