Well, she’s definitely not like Millie, that’s for sure. Millie wanted those glasses pretty darn bad…

I’ve got a Princess Twilight night light. Does that count?

Marigold is far better than the flashlight I used to use when I was a kid. Ofcourse, her glow might alert the parents Phoebe is still up which is why I used to hide under the blanket when I read after bedtime. Quick, Phoebe, double Marigold’s horn as a tent pole as well.

Magical lighting could go a long way towards solving the current crisis…

One of the books on my freshman high school reading list was Jane Eyre. I had already read Wuthering Heights ( couldn’t put it down!) and I ended up staying up most of the night reading Jane Eyre, too. Even as a kid those Gothic novels got me.

Marigold looks particularly charming today, especially as she graciously lights up her friend’s book.

Well, God knows I could have used a unicorn at Phoebe’s age. It hadn’t been so bad when I was 5–6, because in that bedroom the spill from the hallway was focused perfectly, but the next bedroom directed the spill at the foot of the bed, so I had to lie on my stomach with my feet on the pillows to read.

Does this count as mixing reading and magic?
