It’d be interesting if Michelangelo did that to the Sistine Chapel.

I had a friend who would do this for receipts at restaurants while waiting for the waiter to return for the card. For a time, I took to signing just about anything for my name including “Card Wasstolen” and “Thisis Pointless”. The charge was never rejected unless the signature was “too short” like an attempt at the Artist Formerly Known As Prince symbol. I only stopped because of the occasional awake and persnickety cashier (read: new to the profession) who would try to make a federal case out of it, but even now it’s a half-hearted inconsistent scribble with one recognizable character.

I knew a guy whose signature was an A and a scribble, and an A and a slightly longer scribble.

Pretty cool, if you ask me.

But, can he print it out/e-mail it to himself?

A signature is an identifying mark that you sign, often as proof of intent.

It doesn’t need to be your name. It doesn’t need to be legible. It doesn’t even need to be words.

But an artwork that takes you three days to complete is probably over the top.
