Atticus Finch was just a literary character. He’ was and is not a real person. It’s Harper Lee who has/had a dark side.

It was an amateurish first novel that, until now, correctly never saw print. I read the first chapter online, and it desperately needed editing it never received.

I will assume the “prequil” sets up for Atticus to change? BTW John Grisham’s first novel wasn’t publlished until he’d found success, and it STANK! They didn’t even seem to edit before publishing it.
