Hey! I used to own that car. Guy gave it to me after his alcoholic father had passed away. Hood was lashed down with some wire and the remains of the grill were hanging everywhere.

Glove box was stuffed with old parking tickets. I suspect a lot of trees heaved a group sign of relief at the old guys passing.

When I drank I would check my car car every morning to see if 1. there were any new dents, 2. the police were there, 3 if my car was there. I would then check to see if I left anything to drink in the back seat. A kindly state trooper canceled these checks for me.

    A literary reference!

“Did he try any of that funny business with the trees?” - Muriel’s mother, in J.D. Salinger’s “A Perfect Day for Banafish.”

    Holy Windows 3.1, Cleo fans!

    Are you feeling puzzled?

    Would you like to be?

    If so, you’re in luck!

    It’s Saturday Puzzleday in

the May 30th  2020 “CLEO and COMPANY”

Which you can find on Sherpa

    http://www.comicssherpa.com/site/feature?uc_comic=cscwy

Though, as ever… I recommend using my side by side version….

which I make just for YOU….

    https://i.postimg.cc/fTzJQ8Gn/Cleo-nine-differences-May-30th-20.png

As for puzzled… you can color ME puzzled, all right…

BatBasset-ing must not be very remunerative…

if the BatCave computer is so old it has a floppy disk!

Better get it to a computer chiropractor ASAP!

It should be in a museum, not on a desk.

    Upgrade indeed!

    But wait… isn’t BatBasset secretly a zillionaire?

Is it part of his disguise to be seen using a 1985 computer?

    Meanwhile… Sparrow is puzzled too.

He’s wondering what he ever did wrong, to be given a name like “Sparrow.”

All the bad guys will laugh their tails off if BatBasset calls him.

    Okay…. solve away….

I will be back a bit later, with a gifT from our semi-anonymous animation-solution-maker PERFECTIONISTA…

(I think you can guess what it is.)

She is very kindly stel making them.

That doesn’t mean you don’t have to be GOOD to get it.

I looked at this on my tablet after I turned it vertical. I finally found everything. As for that computer, it was the evil Catman who put a virus in the old computer since there was no virus protection in it. Catman owns the computer store in town where a new one will have to be bought. One that has a little addition to the program Windows 3.11.

    Holy brain fog, Puzzle People!

I almost went to bed and forgot to post the solution.

I wouldn’t want to leave you hanging like that, after the semi-anonymous animation-solution-maker PERFECTIONISTA worked so hard on an animation solution for you.

So I thank the few working brain cells that reminded me!

Cheers to synapses no. 3,498,237,384 and 17,932, 673,212!

Let’s drink to the few remaining drops of acetylcholinesterase.

Anyway…however relieved you are to find the solution posted…

you still need to try to solve the puzzle before peeking.

    Then you can look HERE:

    https://i.postimg.cc/bY4MWvdK/FTD-5-30-2020-AB.gif

    Meanwhile… @ Nighthawks…

    “Universal” clamor for its demise?

Where or who is this “universal” of which you speak?

We gotta go beat ’em up.

    Who’s with me?

    Aw, c’mon…. somebody?

And Dry.. hope you get it ten years later!
