Peter: I hope this summer is cooler than usual. Paige: Why's that? Peter: I'm growing a beard in solidarity with Conan O'Brian. I'm just a little worried it might get hot and itchy come July and August. Paige: You really think you'll have a beard after two months? Peter: Six months. Paige: Excuse me? Peter: It'll be six months. I started growing it back in January. It's coming along pretty well. Want me to get a magnifying glass so you can see it? Paige: Dude, you've gone loco. Peter: It's "coco," actually, this one patch of fuzz you can kinda see with the naked eye... Paige: I stand un-corrected.

Ah, to be 16 and delusional again!
Rakkav over 14 years ago
I may have been delusional at 16, but not about having (some) facial hair. It just needed until 30 to be worth filling out as a moustache and goatee. :)

Oh, I knew a guy like that, too. When he was 14, he could have a full beard complete with sideburns and mustache in four days.

I was a little kid once. (Yeah, I know, amazing). I used to watch my dad shave. Wanted to shave just like my dad.
What a lousy curse.

Why didn’t Tarzan have a beard? :D
Creniere over 14 years ago
Yeah…and how did Superman shave?
lewisbower over 14 years ago
JAM Tarzan sharpened his father’s knife and shaved because he wanted to be a man, not an ape.
In college I grew a “beard” cause I wanted to be a man, not a boy.A lot of sparse beards in college

Yeah…and how did Superman shave?
It depends on which era you’re talking about. Prior to 1986, Superman DIDN’T shave because he didn’t have to; his Kryptonian hair and fingernails wouldn’t grow under Earth’s yellow sun, which is why he was invulnerable in the first place.
When the comic was re-booted in 1986, that rule was done away with (apparently because it wasn’t believed to be realistic), and Superman DID start “shaving” by using his heat vision and a mirror to burn the stubble away.

Nabuquduriuzhur said, I remember one of the old Superman comics where he’d blanked his own memory (long story) and one of the other characters took scissors and demonstrated how they snapped while cutting a lock of his hair to prove he was superman.
I remember that one! Superboy and the Legion of Superheroes were hiding from arch-villain Mordru in Smallville of the past. Clark’s buddy Pete Ross was the only one who still knew his identity!

I had a Superboy comic where Lana Lang began to suspect Superboy’s identity after she broke the scissors trying to cut Clark’s hair.

I started to grow a moustache when I was twenty. It’s starting to come in now, only forty years later!
