There are videos on youtube showing jokes by other comedians and the stolen version by these guys. On some websites they are referred to as Dane Crook and Carlos Manstealia.
Milton Berle was also reputed to be a chronic joke thief, but it didn’t seem to hurt his popularity any. and anyone who listens to Eddie Murphy’s stand up routines of the early 80’s can’t help but notice the similarities to Richard Pryor’s early work. there was a funny bit as part of Seinfeld’s “I’m Telling You for the Last Time” HBO special that showed Gary Shandling trying to pick up some of the “bits” that Jerry was ‘retiring’ from the act.
