Just wanted to explain the cartoon physics some have questioned on this panel…
This scene was captured right at the beginning of the “maiden boulder voyage.” This is the point where he had just pushed the rock and, as it started to roll, he jumped on.
Had there been subsequent scene, I think you would have seen a flat, squishy mess… and then I would have been in trouble for using too much red in a cartoon…
