Good morning everyone – getting 3 little Siamese mix kittens today. Sara, their foster mom, had to leave town so I’m taking over. They went to get fixed on Sat and are coming back this morning. Tux, my house guest, was picked up by his mom and dad yesterday morning.

A “litter box cake” for Rose Rabbit

Happy Birthday, Rose Rabbit!

The receipe:

SERVINGS 20 UNITS US1 (18 ounce) box spice cake mix or 1 (18 ounce) box German chocolate cake mix3 eggs (or as called for by your cake mix)1⁄3 cup oil (or as called for by your cake mix)1 1⁄3 cups water (or as called for by your cake mix)1 (18 ounce) box white cake mix3 eggs (or as called for by your cake mix)1⁄3 cup oil (or as called for by your cake mix)1 1⁄3 cups water (or as called for by your cake mix)1 (6 ounce) box vanilla instant pudding mix1 (18 ounce) packagevanilla sandwich cookiesgreen food coloring12 small Tootsie Rolls1 new kitty litter box1 new kitty litter box1 Pooper ScooperOn Sale Near YouSee what’s on sale in recipes and in your Grocery List.

Prepare cake mixes and bake according to box directions (any size pan). Prepare pudding, chill until ready to assemble. Crumble sandwich cookies in small batches in food processor, scraping often.Set aside all but 1/4 cup.To the 1/4 cup of crumbs, add a few drops of green food coloring and mix using fork or shake in a jar.When cakes are cooled to room temp, crumble into a large bowl.Toss with half the remaining cookie crumbs and chilled pudding.You probably won’t need all the pudding, mix the cake and “feel” it, you don’t want it soggy, just moist; ge ntly combine. Line litter box.Put mixture into box.Put 3 unwrapped tootsie rolls in microwave safe dish and heat until softened.Shape ends so they are no longer blunt, curving slightly.Repeat with 3 more tootsie rolls and bury in cake mixture. Sprinkle the other half of cookie crumbs over top.Scatter green crumbles lightly over top (chlorophyll in cat litter). Heat 3 tootsie rolls in microwave until almost melted.Scrape them on top of the cake and sprinkle with cookie crumbs.Spread remaining tootsie rolls over top; take one and heat until pliable, hang over side of litter box, sprinkle with cookie crumbs.

I and daughter @2 leave for VA Friday to help out for a few days. Evan’s mom needs her family and we get to see the 2 boys and their new house. @Queen The 2 look like Ragdolls, but I would love all 3 of them! My sister has a Ragdoll and we just love her antics. She’s 23 1/2 years old now.
