I remember our gym being used as a polling place (No gym! Yay!). Nowadays the schools are closed on Election Day, which ticks off my older daughter, who was born on Election Day (2002) and hates not being able to go to school on her birthday (yeah, even when it lands on a Saturday; Sundays aren’t so bad because she’s with her Church family).
